The other day I was wandering around Primark and I saw this little top on one of the rails and I kept thinking to myself that it looked incredibly familiar. I then realised it was a copy of the House of Holland S/S12 oversized leopard print! At a mere £4 I thought I had to have it, seeing as I will never be able to afford the real version.

The top even incorporates the two-toned pastels as a few of the original HOH designs did. It also has a scalloped hem, which I'm not overly keen on, but I'm getting used to it. And I suppose I could always tuck it in to the shorts. I've also worn my House of Holland bandana tights from the A/W10 collection.

So, if it wasn't already obvious, I like House of Holland quite a bit.

DISCOVERING WALLIS

Wallis has always been a shop that I've just ignored when I'm out shopping. Their clothes are aimed at women aged 30+ so I've always assumed that they would be a bit frumpy and old fashioned and just the complete opposite of my style. I've been working in a different store this week and there is a Wallis department next to where I'm working so I decided to go for a nosey and I was very surprised with their stock package. They have so many pretty patterned blouses and some lovely dresses and jumpers.

Outfit post because I think I've found my favourite t-shirt in the world ever!

E.T. is my favourite film ever, I absolutely love it. So, when I was wandering around the men's section of Primark yesterday and spotted this, I knew I definitely had to have it. It was only £6 too! The entirety of the men's section in Primark at the moment is brilliant. I wanted everything. They had a few Beatles tops, that I had to stop myself from buying because I already have too many! Then there was an Only Fools And Horses one I liked too. They also have loads of collared shirts with Aztec designs and prints on that I'm tempted to go back for.

To be honest, all of Primark at the moment looked pretty decent. They are either "I hate everything in this shop" or "I WANT EVERYTHING NOW." Definitely at the latter right now. There's loads of cute collared tops and pretty pastel colours everywhere.

I got my shorts from the Forever 21 store in Birmingham a few weeks ago and I've basically lived in them ever since. They're so comfy and go with everything I wear.

Also very much in love with the necklace at the moment. I'm never normally a fan of short necklaces but I really like this one. I've wore it pretty much every day since I bought it last week. There seems to be loads of statement, short necklaces around at the moment. May have to invest in a few more!

Apologies for this being a few days late but I've been so busy with work this week that I've not even had the energy to switch my laptop on when I've got home. Day off today but I'm so tired and in a lot of pain so I'm going to be doing this post a little differently. I'm just going to post a load of my favourite dresses from the awards rather than just 5 and commenting a little on them all.

This year's Oscar's took place on Sunday and I was thrilled that The Artist picked up 5 major awards. It really does deserve them.

LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2012

I think I prefer the A/W Fashion Week seasons to the S/S, probably because of how much I love my knitwear! I've loved this seasons LFW. It's definitely been one of my favourites overall for a good few years. So here are all the collections I've enjoyed. Let me know what you think.

So clearly I enjoyed this season's LFW and I found it hard enough just to narrow it down to these collections. There was even more on my original list!

Judging by fashion week it looks like we can expect to see peplums sticking around through autumn/winter and, not just on dresses and skirts. The Burberry Prorsum collection incorporated the peplum into their trademark trench coats. Clinched waists was another trend appearing in a number of collections. Very happy that the bow waist belt featured in the Burberry collection is extremely similar to one I already have.

Obviously with it being the Autumn.Winter collections there was going to be a lot of dark and warm colours and a lot of texture. I think the McQueen show is a good example of that. I watched a live stream of that show and it was just beautiful. Hopefully McQueen will continue to showcase at London Fashion Week now, too. There was also quite a military/war time feel to a lot of the coats and jackets featured across the collections that I like very much.

I was very surprised to see houndstooth featured in a few collections. I wasn't a fan of this trend the last time it was around. It predominately featured in the House of Holland collection and after I saw a picture of the HOH invite (which was a houndstooth iPhone case) I was a bit worried that I wouldn't like the collection this time but it actually really works with all the bold colours and colour blocking also featured in the collection. And obviously the House of Holland girls can pull off anything!

I'm really glad, as well, that a lot of designers kept a lot of colour in their Autumn/Winter collections. I really hate when it gets to the cold seasons and all the colour just suddenly drains out. Keep the colour in!

Something of an outfit post today. I really liked what I'm wearing today but then looking at these photos, they made the outfit look rubbish. I think I should invest in a better camera really.

I love the collar detail of this shirt. I hardly ever wear it, I really should start doing. I found this jumper in my sister's wardrobe (but it itches like crazy). I have realised I do not own any jumpers and I probably should.

Got my shorts from Forever 21 when I was in Birmingham. They only cost me £10.50! They're so comfortable too.
I feel like I'm channelling Chung a little bit in this outfit. I have become a little too obsessed with her as of late though.

I am going to be blogging about London Fashion Week again this season but I'm just going to do a huge post at the end of the week instead of daily posts because I always end up falling behind on them.

GRAMMY AWARDS 2012

The Grammy's took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles and there was lots of lovely dresses (and some hideous ones... looking at you Fergie) but here are my 5 favourites.

Adele completely owned the Grammy's this year winning 6 awards and she looked incredible in Giorgio Armani. Her hair and make up looked stunning too.

Taylor Swift wore Zuhair Murad. I prefer the back to the front but it's still beautiful. I wish she'd had her hair done better. She's such lovely hair but it's looks like she hadn't wash it and just scraped it back.

Kate Beckinsale would look amazing if she wore a bin bag. She also wore Zuhair Murad and also showing you don't have to have full length gowns at these big awards shows. Well, if you had those legs, you wouldn't want to cover them up!

I wasn't sure about Paris Hilton's Basil Soda dress at first but I really love it now. She looks really classy and wears it very well.

Kelly Osbourne looking fabulous in a sparkly Tony Ward gown. She was doing some fashion presenting for E! but I think she looked better than most of the people there. I just love her!

BAFTA FILM AWARDS 2012

Sorry that this post is quite a few days delayed. I spent the last couple of days with some friends in Birmingham so I wasn't able to get this up sooner. I'll be putting the blog about the Grammy's up straight after I've finished this one, too.

So the BAFTA Film Awards took place in London on Sunday and I did catch some of it and was over the moon with The Artist cleaning up. Really don't think I've enjoyed a film so much recently than I did watching that.

On to best dressed then...

Kristen Wiig wore a white gown by Alberta Ferretti and her hair is so lovely. Much prefer it this colour to her blonde hair she had in Bridesmaids. A few diamonds round her neck wouldn't have gone a miss though!

Jessica Chastain was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Help (but was beaten by co-star Octavia Spencer) and she looked beautiful in Oscar de la Renta. Completely in love with her hair too; such a lovely colour.

Fearne Cotton was doing red carpet presenting for the BAFTAs and wore this Moschino dress. The colour is stunning and she looks beautiful.

Emilia Fox wore this amazing tiered Luisa Beccaria which is incredibly detailed. She looks just fabulous!

The best dressed of the night was definitely Michelle Williams. So simple and elegant and the dress is custom-made H&M! Extra brownie points for that. Loving her Olympia Le-Tan designed clutch too of Arthur Miller's The Misfits book which, the film starred Marilyn Monroe whom Michelle is nominated for playing in My Week With Marilyn. She's a clever one!

TRIBAL PRINTS

Trends go on a revolving loop and repeat themselves year after year but give themselves a little refresher to update themselves. The tribal/safari trend is back for this Spring/Summer season and is everywhere right now. Another trend that is slowly starting to emerge (and that was seen on the S/S12 catwalks) was girly, pastel colours. The tribal trend is great for those of us that aren't into bold colours and who are more comfortable in neutral shades and patterns.
The high street is full of leopard, zebra and snake prints and lots of khaki and beige colours to pad it all out. Here are some of my favourite things out there at the moment.

I am in love with Topshop shoes at the moment and I love those printed flats. I really don't think I should be allowed to buy anymore shoes though. My collection is getting a little bit silly.

DOUBLE OUTFIT POST

I went to the cinema last night to see The Artist (which you should all go and see by the way because it really is fantastic) and this afternoon I went into town where I ended up buying way too much jewellery, but hey ho!
Here's what I wore for both occasions.

First thing... double denim alert! This was a brave move. I've never actually done it before but I found this shirt hidden in the sale for a fiver and couldn't really turn that down. And I've just bought some collar tips from eBay that I'm waiting to turn up and I think they'll look good on this collar. Secondly, actually wearing jeans!! If you know me, this is a big thing. I only wear them occasionally for work when it's just too cold and early to be bothered to make an effort for work.

I bought the boat shoes from Primark at the weekend. They're only £8! And there was loads of colours and I wanted all of them but these seemed most practical.

And this is today's outfit... Actually all the jewellery is what I've bought today! I love when it's about to become Spring because all the nautical jewellery and clothes start coming back and that is my all time favourite trend. I wanted an ear cuff for a while and last week I took out my scaffold bar because it was giving me a bit too much aggro so today I took that as a sign that I could buy one. They're hard to get nice photos of but I really like it.
I got the shorts from the Topshop sale a few weeks ago. I nearly bought them at full price only like a month before then but I talked myself out of it. So glad I did, because they only cost me £10 down from £38! I love them! They're high waisted and faux-leather and they go with literally everything.

I've got quite a few days off work now so I'll hopefully get a few extra posts up this week. Hope everyone is well! :)

SAG AWARDS 2012

The Screen Actors Guild Awards took place in LA yesterday and I'm thrilled that The Help won 3 of the major awards. Such a wonderful film. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, but make sure you have waterproof make up on or you'll leave looking like a puffy panda!

On to the 5 best dresses of the night, not really in any order because I can't choose which I like best.

Viola Davis won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and she looked beautiful in her Marchesa gown.

Emily Blunt added some colour to the red carpet, amongst all the black and white dresses that flooded it this year, in Oscar de la Renta.

Also wearing Marchesa, Sofia Vergara looked stunning! That dress shows her figure off so nicely.

Emma Stone could literally fashion a carrier bag into a dress and she'd still be on the best dressed lists. She was completely decked out in Alexander McQueen last night (not at all helping with my jealousy levels...)

One of my other favourite dress of the night though belonged to Kelly Osbourne. She wore a gorgeous Badgley Mischka white gown which has beautiful shoulder detailing. I think she looks just amazing.

WHAT'S IN MY BAG

I really enjoy when people do the "What's in my bag" posts so I decided to do one myself. I feel like I always have my whole life in my bag. I feel the need to take everything everywhere.

First things first, as pretty as my bag is... do not ever get a white handbag. Hardest thing in the world to keep clean. It always ends up covered in make up and just general dirt. But it really is just so pretty and I love it so much.

iPhone - Dimitri is his name and he's my baby. I downloaded Temple Run last week and I've never been more obsessed with anything in my life.
Car stereo - I'm too afraid to leave it in my car when I've parked up so I have to keep it with me.
Kate Moss perfume - I usually just get the original Kate fragrance but the Lila Belle one was on offer just before Christmas so I decided to try that out. I really like it but it's really hard to find 50ml bottles of it where I live.
Anti-bacterial hand wash - slight bit of a germ-phobe so I need this stuff with me!
Purse - mum treated me to a River Island purse last year. It's so beautiful though, I have too many cards and the slots aren't wide enough to put a card in each one.
Make up bag - I should probably get a new one of these actually. I got this Elle one a few years ago and it's getting quite grubby now.
Tablets - I'm prone to horrible headaches so it just reassures me if I have some Nuerofen with me
Gloves - I know they're crappy but they're only from Primark and I like them. I like fingerless gloves that also have the mitten over them but it's so hard to get them that covers the thumb too. I don't want warm fingers and a cold thumb!
Lipstick - Got really into wearing lipstick in the last few months. At the moment I see to be wearing this Topshop one all the time. It's in the colour Brighton Rock.
Chewing gum - don't think this needs much explanation... :') I like fresh breath after dinner.
Keys - more keyrings than keys though. My Lego Woody thing is just amazing. I wish I bought the Buzz one too.
Vaseline - I very rarely even use this but I just need to have it with me, just in case.
Earphones - I can't even do the 10 minute walk from where I park my car to where I work without listening to music.

So that's what I carry around with me every single day!

GOLDEN GLOBES 2012

Can't believe it's awards season again already! Doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago that I was doing last years post.
The 69th Annual Golden Globes took place last night and I'm completely not hardcore enough to stay up until 4:30 in the morning just to see all the outfits so, I've been reading literally every news article about them this morning to find the best dressed.
Last year I wasn't very impressed overall with the standards of most of the actors and celebrities but this year seems a lot better so lets hope it continues!

It was really hard to narrow this down to just 5 but here goes...

Nicole Kidman wore this beautifully beaded Versace gown which she looks amazing in. A good 90% of the female stars in attendance at the Golden Globes all had very figure hugging dresses that made them all look like they had the "mermaid body". And they all looked just fabulous.

Claire Danes wore this monochrome custom made gown by J Mendel which, is from their autumn pre-collection for this year. I think I prefer the back of the dress more than the front. The cut out detail is beautiful.

Charlize Theron looked as stunning as ever in Christian Dior Couture. The colour looks amazing on her and I'm loving her make up. She's so beautiful and it's so unfair!

Cannot get over how Jessica Alba can look this amazing after having 2 babies! The Gucci embellished gown is incredible too. So stunning (and so jealous)!

And finally, my number 1 girl crush never lets me down. This two-tone Lanvin dress is the prefect colour for Emma Stone and, the jewelled eagle belt she's teamed it with adds that bit of edge and she looks wonderful. very much looking forward to seeing her at the other award shows.

Just a quick outfit post for you today. Went into town this afternoon but I didn't end up buying anything really but I did buy the Topshop lipstick I mentioned in the previous post which, I really love already!

I got the dress from a concession brand Dorothy Perkins have. It was £12 in the sale and I really like the colour of it. Not overly keen on the arm splits but I generally always have a cardigan on so it's not so much of an issue! And speaking of cardigans, so chuffed with this one from Tesco. I think it was £18. I got it about a month ago and I wear it all the time.

Hello! First blog of 2012! It would have been sooner but I've had a pretty rubbish past 2 weeks with being ridiculously ill and stuff happening with work.

I went to buy the 101 Dalmatians PJs from Topshop earlier because I saw they'd gone into sale and they had the size I needed so I added them to the bag but by the time I clicked checkout it said they'd sold out. So gutted! Hate so much when that happens. And they're sold out in all my local stores. Sad times.

I keep seeing cute little backpacks in all the magazines and it's making me really want one :') I know I probably wouldn't actually use it though.
I've got really into lipstick lately and this colour from Topshop looks like a lovely shade so I may need to treat myself to that.

I NEED that coat like you don't even understand. It's so lovely one. The photos just don't do it justice. I'm hoping it will get reduced a little more soon though and my size hopefully won't sell out!

I would clearly never ever wear those ASOS shorts but they're so gorgeous! They probably look better on that girl too, heh!

2011 FAVOURITES

Hello! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I've spent pretty much the entirety of the Christmas week sleeping and sneezing which hasn't been very much fun. Crazy that it's almost the end of 2011 already!
Last year I did a couple of posts of the years best dressed and what to expect in fashion for this year, but this year I going to sort of just group everything in together and I've made a list of all my favourite fashion related things that have happened in 2011.

In this post, I briefly mentioned Emma Stone and how she'd probably be everywhere this year. I wasn't wrong there! She completely shone on the red carpet during awards season and she had a few films out which, were just brilliant. My favourite definitely had to be The Help and I really hope that does very well at next years awards season.

Definitely number 1 girl crush!

Another Hollywood lady that wowed me this year was Hailee Steinfeld. I don't know if I'm allowed to say she's on my girl crush list on not because she has only just turned 15... but never the less, I am insanely jealous of her! She looked absolutely incredible at every awards show going this year, completely decked out in every high end designer possible and she became the face of Miu Miu for their latest campaign. She's also going to be playing Juliet in the newest remake of Romeo & Juliet, due on next year.

My favourite designer, is obviously, Henry Holland and he's had another cracking year again this year. This years House of Holland LFW shows were amazing. In February the AW11 collection was full of tweed, crochet and pastels and the SS12 collection in September kept the pastel colours and added in snakeskin and oversized leopard print. The SS12 collection is probably my favourite HOH collection to date. HOH also released their first pre collection this year for SS12 which was full of vibrant colours and stripes and I loved it.

As well as his HOH work, his collection H! for Debenhams celebrated it's first birthday and I treated myself to quite a few pieces from it. Completely and utterly in love with the man!

One thing I have really LOVED this year is weddings! Ready for a top 3 celebrity weddings list? Here goes...

Lily Allen got married in June and also announced she was pregnant. Her vintage-style dress was by Delphine Manivet and she looked so very happy on every single photo.

I completely adore Kate Moss and a lot of people didn't like her wedding dress because it wasn't a traditional one, but I thought it was very Kate. It was very vintage inspired and very detailed and I don't think it would have seemed right if she had have gone for the big traditional gown. The official wedding photos that were in Vogue are stunning, too.

Of course the best wedding of the year was the Royal Wedding. I am, unashamedly, still a little too obsessed with the Royal Wedding for my own good. The media frenzy surrounding the dress pre-wedding was crazy, with everyone trying to guess the designer of it. The Alexander McQueen gown she did wear was absolutely stunning. And more importantly, the Royal Wedding was the day that everybody fell in love with and wanted to marry Prince Harry.

Spotted this top in Topshop yesterday and it was just too 'me' for me to not get it! And if you can't already guess, I'm a little nautical obsessed...
My panda ring is my favourite thing at the minute. It's so cute! I was supposed to be Christmas shopping I Manchester last week but I had to treat myself too. The star ring was only £1.50 in the Topshop sale.

Probably won't get another post up before Christmas now so hope everyone enjoys themselves and has a great day :)

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Yesterday was the Christmas night out with work, which was lovely.
These photos are even worse than usual because I took them after I'd got home due to taking too long to get ready! But you get the jist...

I got the dress from a new boutique that has opened in the town I work in. It's by a relatively new brand called Maggie + Me. I've looked on their website and they've got loads of lovely designs and this dress fits so good so I'd recommend them if you're after a new dress. I think it cost about £30, too.

My belt is about 3 years old now but it goes with everything and the dress looked a bit too plain without it.

Fully in love with my shoes. They're the highest I've ever worn and I could actually walk in them, surprising myself! They do look like they don't fit on the photo but they do! They were £42 but worth every penny. I think I'll be wearing them for new year celebrations as well.

The nail varnish is a new Barry M colour and it says it's limited edition on the bottle so I'm tempted to go buy a few bottles cos it upsets me when I find colours I like then they get discontinued.

I've just realised I forgot to include my bag in these photos so you'll have to have a print screen from the Internet.

It's quite small when I'm used to rather big bags but it's very pretty. And it goes with my new year's eve outfit, too. It was only £9.99, as well!

It doesn't really feel like it's Christmas time though, does it? Well, apart from the ridiculously low temperatures! And I'm completely unprepared with my shopping for it but I'm heading to Manchester next week so hopefully I'll get it all done in one day... eek!

Not done an outfit post in a while. Today we went out for dinner and this is what I've been wearing. And as always, apologies for me being the world's worst photographer.

On my last post I said how I wanted this shirt so badly (but in the darker colour) and on a recent trip to the Trafford Centre I tried it but preferred this colour in the end. I love it so much. I added on the bow brooch from Temporary:Secretary to the collar to make it a bit different too. I probably could have de-creased the shorts a bit before I took these photos but oh well..!

And my boots... I am fully in love with them. I've worn them so much since I got them. They're so comfy and a decent heel height too. They go with pretty much everything I wear as well.

I've had my aviator jacket on as well today because it is just ridiculously cold today! Going to be rather difficult getting out of bed for work in the morning, boo!

WISHLIST #4

Woah, long time no blog. Sorry about that. I work in retail, and I'm also a manager, so this time of year is incredibly stressful and busy. I keep meaning to blog but finding motivation is getting difficult. Plus, I've been a bit ill and run down this week but hopefully, I'll be back on track soon!

So, yesterday a new boutique opened in the town I work so I went for a nosey and it is such a lovely little shop. I found myself a lovely dress for work's Christmas Do which is in a few weeks, but now I need some shoes and through my Internet Window Shopping I've ended up making a new wishlist. LET'S GO.

The first shirt from Warehouse and the River Island bag, I've just been ogling for weeks! Which means I really should just probably buy them. As for the Topshop shirt, every now and then I have a look at it and I know I probably won't pull it off but there's something about it I just love!
The black studded skirt is one of the only pieces from the Versace for H&M collection that I really like, which was disappointing. I'm in love with the Topshop skirt though! The website is telling me it's sold out in my local store though, which is a bit lame.
I'm never wear silver jewellery; much prefer gold but the panda ring is just fab! A little pricey though, but still very cute.
The Henry Holland dress looks amazing on the model. So hoping my local store has it so I can try it on. You can never have too many Henry Holland dresses!
As for the shoes... I know I would never be able to walk in them in a million years but I could just look at them and admire them enough to get the monies worth out of them, yeah?

COSMOPOLITAN AWARDS: BEST DRESSED

Last night saw the annual Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year awards and there was lots of beautiful (and hideous) outfits on the red carpet so time for another Top 5 best dressed!

I think I actually like Kylie's new hair more than the dress, which was a bit "play it safe" but never-the-less she looks great and if I can look that good when I'm 43, I'll be very satisfied.

Kelly Rowland looked so sleek and sophisticated in this beautiful pink Maria Grachvogel gown. She was completely clad in designer names with all her jewellery and shoes too. Completely not jealous in the slightest...

Of course Jameela Jamil was going to be in this list. I just love her! Sticking to her trademark look of a short dress, kooky bag and fabulous heels, she doesn't disappoint. The dress is Vivenne Westwood and the shoes are Aldo which you can get here. And that bag... wow. I think I may even like that more than her taxi bag.

Katie Piper looked absolutely stunning in her LBD which she accessorised with peacock feather earrings and electric blue nails.

Fearne Cotton was definitely my favourite of the night. I just love the vintage-feel about this dress, mainly provided my the lace bat-wing shawl/cape which, really makes the outfit and she's kept her accessories minimal as to not distract away from the dress. Love it!

There was also some major disasters in the form of Abbey Clancey, Cher Lloyd, Myleene Klass and Caroline Flack to name a few. I'll spare you the images and you can just go Google those.

I'm off work all of this week and I planned to post a few extra blogs as I'd have more time but that clearly has not happened. I will try to redeem this in the 2nd half of the week but I won't make promises because everytime I do, I always fail.

I've been really wanting to try some leather shorts for such a long time now but whenever I mention it to anyone they look at me like I'm weird or just laugh. Then, after read Claire's blog on how to style them I decided to just go for it (and I had a voucher for New Look so it'd have been a shame to waste it.) It took a lot of searching to find some I actually liked and New Look was the last place I found myself looking for a pair but they looked a good fit on the website and they really are.They fit and feel nice and they were only £20, I think that is pretty reasonable!
I went shopping the other day with my mum and dragged her around the Henry Holland department in Debenhams and I was incredible surprised to find she loved it all! She usually hates how I dress but she was just encouraging me to buy everything! :')
This sheer shirt really caught my eye though. It was £25 and I just love the colour of the blue. I've worn it with a vest top underneath because quite frankly it is far too cold to just brave it on it's own and I'm not fully comfortable just walking around showing off my bra!
I've also attached my nautical style rope brooch just below the collar. I found it in a charity shop a while back for 50p! It goes with so much of my stuff too.
I've never bought Topshop shoes before because they always seem a little expensive (and I get a good discount on shoes from work) but I saw these in the sale for £15 and they are some of the most comfortable shoes ever! I thought it'd be difficult to find clothes that they match but I've worn them everyday since I bought them. May have to pay more attention to their shoe department in future.

Sorry that I'm awful at taking photos. I do try but my patience wears so thin so I give up. I will do my best to get a couple more posts up this week, too.

TIGHTS + SOCKS

Put together a new outfit today that I really like so I thought an outfit post would be appropriate. I went to see my friend Katie and as I caught my reflection in a shop I realised I looked a bit like a school girl out on a school trip or something :') but nevertheless, I like it!

See what I mean about the school girl look? It's getting so cold at the moment so this way kept my feet warm and I like the colours together. The skirt seems to have gone massive for me since I bought it a few months ago and none of my belts fitted it properly so I had to improvise with a scarf.

These brogues are incredibly comfortable. I'd go as far as saying they're the comfiest shoes I own/ I have a few pairs of brogues but they can make my feet ache after wearing them all day but the sole is softer on these so I think that helps. They've got cute little buckles on the side too. I wear them pretty much everyday.

I overslept massively this morning and didn't have time to put any jewellery on so I felt a little lost with having no rings on. I did have a good rummage through the Topshop half price jewellery sale. Got 3 pairs of new earrings and a lovely necklace.

I like animal related jewellery, okay? And I've just realised that the snake earrings didn't go through at half price, damn! They were only a fiver full price though so I can handle that. The elephant on the necklace... it's feet move! This excites me more than it should.

Another thing I bought this week and that I am fully amazed with is a Barry M lipstick. It's called Touch of Magic and it looks like this...

If you don't know what this does then you're first reaction will be confusion and shock, I imagine. As was mine when I first saw it, but I've been wanting to wear lipstick for a while but I don't know what colour will look good on my cos I'm so ridiculously pale and I'm rubbish with make up colours. I've been watching some tutorial YouTube videos and saw a few about this. Basically, it uses alkali levels in your skin to determine the colour that it applies. On my it goes a fairly bright pink and it was a bit strange a first but I really like it. Also, it doesn't come off when you eat and drink and it doesn't feel like a lipstick, it's more like a balm. I'd really recommend it.

You get a vague idea of the colour from this though. I really like it and I've seen people I know try and for them it went a lot more red. It fully amazes me!

TREND ALERT: GLITTER SHOES

As this time of year approaches it can be pretty miserable. It rains more, the temperature plummets and we know we won't see the sun for another six months. However, it's also the time when we start seeing party season outfits appearing in shop windows. Believe it or not but Christmas is only about 2 months away which, is quite scary. This year has flown by! But Christmas approaching means that Christmas parties will be happening soon to give us a chance to dress up!

Miu Miu is one of my favourite designer brands. There styles are so elegant and beautiful and now that Hailee Steinfeld fronts the Miu Miu campaigns at present, I'm even more obsessed. Miu Miu's Autumn/Winter range this year is overflown with glitter shoes and the high street have taken this on board and they are EVERYWHERE.

I think the people behind these Miu Miu shoes were obviously massive fans of The Wizard Of Oz. They're very much an updated version of the notorious Dorothy shoes.

You may not be able to afford to splash out around £500-£600 for a pair of shoes so the high street chain stores have made your life a little easier with there (significantly) cheaper versions.

The celebrities are loving Miu Miu's glitter shoes too. Both Fearne Cotton and Victoria Beckham have tweeted photos of their pairs this week! So if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us!

A/W COLLECTIONS FROM VERY.CO.UK

A little while ago the lovely Jess from Very.co.uk contacted me about the new Autumn/Winter collections that are now stocked including new collections from the likes of Fearne Cotton, Diana Vickers and Love Label. If you read my blog often enough you'll know how much I love Fearne Cotton's style and that I really liked Diana's first Very collection.

Diana Vickers newest collection is like the first one in that it's still quite simple and girly but it does have the Vickers edgy-ness style about it. There's lots of body con, sequins and cute designs and then the leather biker jacket toughens up the looks and makes them more casual.
You literally cannot go wrong with a leather jacket. They go with everything and I think everybody should own one.

Fearne's A/W collection is just beautiful and very Fearne. There's a good few LBD's and dresses with longer hems as well as lots of embellishment and outfits perfect for the up-coming party season. The lovely people at Very were kind enough to let me try out this beautiful dress from Fearnes's collection...

The dress was slightly too big for me on the top and I don't think the style suits me very much which, I am gutted about because it is such a lovely dress. You could easily wear it as a casual everyday dress and just throw on some heels to dress it up for a night out.

I realised that if I fold the neckline down then it fits me better at the top too. This photo is terrible by the way...

... but you get the idea!

Firstly, apologies for the "promised" day 6 of LFW post that never appeared. I completely forgot that day was menswear day and I did still try to write up about it but I'm not really aware of men's fashion and everything I wrote sounded awful and that I had no clue what I was actually talking about. So yes, I'm very sorry.

Got a little outfit post/mini haul post for you today. I'll apologise for some of the photos being pure dreadful but my camera and the lighting was fully hating on me and I was getting angry! :')

I was just being nosey in New Look yesterday when I was on my afternoon break and I was about to leave and spotted this little skirt in the corner. It was the colour that first attracted me to it and then the cute little pockets on the front made me really love it. Then, I saw the price tag... £9.99! Not arguing with that! It fits really nice and the material is really good too. I'm pretty sure it's available in quite a few other colours too. Tempted to get another one!

I picked up the HUGE owl necklace today on my little spending spree from Primark. I love jewellery with owls on. I've got quite a few different ones and each time I buy a new one they seem to be getting bigger and bigger. Primark had hidden this one right at the bottom of one of the jewellery stands but I've come to realise that Primark do this throughout the whole store; they hide the best stuff away for some reason so I always look behind everything in there just in case! SO glad I spotted this necklace though. It is a little heavy mind and I took this photo to show you how big it is...

MASSIVE! I love it though. Also, it was only a fiver! The necklace on the right, which to be fair is pretty big when you see it on its own, cost me £7 so I think I've got a good deal there!

I'm really into rings at the moment which is odd as I used to hate having stuff on my fingers. The owl ring (again with the owl jewellery!) I got today from Primark for £2 and the "Love" ring was part of a pack of 3 rings from Dorothy Perkins which was £6.50 (also got that one today). The ring with the blue stones is also from Dorothy Perkins and I got that the other week because it went into the sale to £3!

You can see on some of these photos I attempted "nail art", sort of. I bought 2 new nail colours today and was trying them out and I thought they looked a little bland so I dipped the end of a make brush into them and dotted them on each nail. Could have been neater but I think they look okay.

The 2 colours I got were from the Smoke & Mirrors make-up range in Topshop and they're the colours Bourbon and Miss Marmelade. I've never used Topshop nail varnish before but I'm really impressed with the colours and I only really needed to use one coat. May have to invest in some other colours from there.

They were £6 each, too.

The last thing I bought was this satchel bag from Primark for £7. I've been wanting a new bag for ages now (despite being totally in love with my River Island bag) but I'm a full on bag lady and just need new ones all the time. I thought it wouldn't be as bad if I just bought a cheap one and the colour of this is so lovely and I still really love the satchel bag trend.

LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S12 - DAY 5

As promised here are my favourite collections of day 5 of London Fashion Week. The final day took place today so I will post that tomorrow. I did fairly well at keeping up with these posts, I guess!
There's only 2 collections on today's post because no others particularly grabbed my attention unfortunately.

Mary Katrantzou

This collection has taken colour and abstract prints to the very extreme and it works brilliantly. I would never have the look or confidence to pull any of it off, mind, but I do really love this. Florals play a massive role in it too and with it being for Spring/Summer that's an absolute given! This collection is just so unique and clearly not afraid to be different. I can definitely see some of these designs on the red carpet. Looking back through some of Mary's previous collections, she appears to be a rather big fan of pattern and atypical prints and designs.

With this collection, the detail and attention that has gone in to every design is incredible.

That's just two extreme close ups of a couple of the designs. I think it's wonderful, I really do love this collection!

David Korma

I really like how with this collection half of it was white and neutral with splashes of paler colours and it's very feminine yet still modern and then the other half was a lot darker with much brighter colours. Structure still features prominently through the whole collection and metallics are also thrown in to a few of the designs and again I sort of get a futuristic/space-feel from some of the designs. I think it is down to the use of structure in some of these LFW collections and the use of metallic. Also with David Korma's collection, the model's hair and make up gives off the futuristic-feel, too.

So, the final day of fashion week will be up tomorrow.

LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S12 - DAY 4

Apologies that this blog wasn't up yesterday. I was very tired so I'm going to do days 4 and 5 today and the 6th and final day of London Fashion Week will be up before 9pm tomorrow, I promise!

Michael van der Ham

Michael van der Ham is a designer from The Netherlands and I've never really taken much notice of him before but I really like this collection. And I've had a look through some of his previous shows and he appears to be a fan of colour and uses it really well. The main looks of this season's fashion week have been neutral colours and pastel colours but something else that has cropped up in some collections is abstract prints and this collection is all about those.

Antonio Berardi

Again, Antonio Berardi is another designer I've never really paid much attention to but going off this collection, and his previous ones, tailoring and structure is very prominent in his work but I also get a sort of futuristic vibe too. I think because of some of the sharp edges and the type of structuring. Also, with the metallic in some of the designs, which I really like. Oh and, the dress top middle... please somebody buy it for me. I absolutely must own it!

Burberry Prorsum

Obviously the new Burberry collection was going to be in this post. Burberry, famous for their trademark trench coats, have not failed once again. Like Michael van der Ham, they've incorporated colour and unusual prints into the collection, including the trenches themselves. Midi skirt lengths are also prominent in this collection so that trend looks set to carrying on right through next year too. As for the striped trench in the bottom right photo, I would very much like to own that too please.
Just to point out, it was incredibly difficult to pick 6 photos to display this collection.

Just a little side note: I hit another milestone in blog views within the last day and I just want to say thank you for bothering to read what I write. I really really appreciate it. LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S12 - DAY 3

Sunday was the third day of this season's London Fashion Week and here are my 3 favourite collections from it!

Holly Fulton

I loved the A/W11 Holly Fulton collection and I love this just as much. The prints featured in it have quite a tribal feel about them and there seems to be a little 60's inspiration in it with the shapes of some of the dresses. I'm pretty much in love with the bottom left outfit. If I owned that, my life would be almost complete.

Mulberry

The Mulberry catwalk models all had Bridget Bardot inspired hair and huge platform shoes and they all looked fabulous. The collection itself was just as wonderful. Again, neutrals and pastel colours fill the collection and well as a bit of metallic and sparkle. Emma Hill, the Mulberry creative director, has said that this collection is inspired by the seaside and summer time during the 70's and is about having fun yet classic. I really do like this, a lot.

Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson is a Mancunian designer which, only makes me slightly biased towards him. I love the colours that have been used in this collection and so far it is definitely in my top 3 of this seasons LFW. The collection has been inspired by "the fusion of nature and technology" according to Matthew, and there's also a lot of influence of Japanese culture entwined within the designs, which is quite obvious with some of the patterns used.

LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S12 - DAY 2

As promised, here is my favourite collection of day 2 of LFW!

House of Holland

I think you'll all know by now how much I love House of Holland. Henry Holland is by far my most favourite designer. His designs are so different and unique. I wish I could pull it all off but I know that I can't. The S/S12 collection features a lot of pastel colours, as mentioned from the PPQ collection.

Ashish

Ashish is a designer that really intrigues me. His designs are incredibly creative and unique and so fascinating to look at but, there is no way in a million years I'd look cool enough, or have enough confidence, to wear them. The models look amazing. Bright colours, bold prints and sequins always play a massive role in his collections and they really are fabulous and I really really like this season's one. I love the brick pattern skirt (top left).

Issa London

This collection isn't really my personal style but I really liked the use of colour (again with the pastels) and the patterns. I enjoy that this collection has the fruit patterns which means hopefully my fruity River Island playsuit will be able to still come out of the wardrobe next year too!

LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S12 - DAY 1

As expected this post is late in being posted but I've not been home all weekend so I've had no way of getting it up any earlier. I'm going to write up day 2 straight after this and schedule it for posting later tonight so come back around 8pm GMT.

PPQ

I absolutely love this collection from PPQ. The pastel colours are amazing, and I've noticed pastels appear in a couple of other collections this Fashion Week which, I'm really liking and looking forward to seeing everywhere next year. I love that structure and collars are sticking around which suggest the androgynous look is going to carry on through to the Spring but adding in a bit of colour whereas at the moment, it's mostly monochrome.

Felder Felder

I really like Felder Felder. Their designs are modern but they have an edgy-feel about them too. I preferred the A/W11 collection but I still really like a lot of the pieces from this collection. There's never much colour in Felder Felder collections but there's some orange and mint green thrown in to this one which is nice and, there's also a bit of metallic. I really LOVE the orange dress (bottom left) from this show.

Paul Costelloe

Paul Costelloe's A/W11 collection was one of my favourites from the last LFW. I preferred that one of this new S/S12 collection however, I still approve very much. The colour palette is pretty neutral and Paul has said that the collection has inspiration from 1970's Paris silhouettes which, before I read that I could sort of see the Parisian influence in some of the styles.

They're my 3 favourites of day 1 of London Fashion Week. Day 2 will be up in the next couple of hours and I shall try to keep up to date with the rest of the week.

CHUNKY KNITS

I was asked by someone to do a post on big, chunky knitwear and as I love knitwear more than is healthy and the temperature seems to have dramatically decreased this week, I think it's only fitting to get this post out there for you.

So yes, I love knitwear. A lot. Ideally I'd have a wardrobe just full of big cardigans in every colour and pattern possible but I don't have the room to do that, unfortunately. Some people seem to think that in Winter you've got to hide behind black and grey and brown and have no colour in your life until the sun peeks out slightly in Spring. I disagree. I like colour and it miserable days a lot happier. The cardigans and jumpers that are on the highs street now are fab for injecting some colour in to your Autumn/Winter wardrobe. Some that I'm currently lusting over are...

Really loving this colour at the moment. I keep seeing it everywhere!

I adore printed knitwear (you may remember last year) and this cardigan is just amazing.

Dorothy Perkins; £38

This looks so cosy and warm!

Urban Outfitters; £48

Urban Outfitters is my favourite place for printed knitwear. My favourite cardigan is from there and although a little pricey, they are wonderfully cosy and last for ages so you do get your money's worth. I am in love with these two. I wish there was an Urban Outfitters closer to me, though it's probably a good job there isn't.

Fearne Cotton adds some excitement to her jeans and boots outfit with a monochrome printed cardigan to make the outfit really stand out...

... whilst her friend, Holly Willoughby, layers her pretty floral dress with a thick cardigan to make a great festival outfit. And she would only have to add some tights and swap the sandals for some cute ankle boots to take this outfit through the Autumn/Winter period.

I'm loving Alexa Chung's outfit here; proving that bright colours are allowed at this time of the year! The cardigan just relaxes the outfit and make sit more casual so it can be a day time dress as well as a night out one.

Even Princess Diana loved printed knitwear! This photo was taken in 1983 and I actually love it and want it! Red isn't really a great colour for me but I'm sure I could do something about it if I got to own that beauty.

So, how to wear chunky knitwear was really what I was originally asked to blog about and I've not really covered that yet. I think the best way to do it is to layer up everything! Wear tights and then some socks as well but bunched down to around the top of your boots. Then, layer up the jewellery too. Have a long necklace on and then a couple of shorter ones and a couple of rings and then a few bangles on your arms.

I would have taken some photos but I procrastinated too much today to take any and also it was really hot today so I would have been sweltering! So maybe I'll try to do an outfit post sometime soon instead.

Just a little side note... London Fashion Week starts tomorrow and the very first show of the day is Paul Costelloe's new collection and if you remember from last year his A/W11 collection was one of my favourites so I'm very much looking forward to seeing his new season collection. Also very excited for House of Holland and Burberry (obviously!) and also Holly Fulton and Mulberry. I don't know whether to do a post every day of my favourite collection of that particular day or just do a huge post at the end of fashion week with all my favourites in one post. I'd like to do the daily one but I'm not going to be at home on Saturday or most of Sunday so I'll end up getting behind. You can read my post on the last LFW from earlier this year here and hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a Day 1 of LFW post!

HELLO AUTUMN

I think Autumn is my favourite season. If the rain could just go away, anyway. The autumn colours and clothes are my favourites though and now that summer (or what we got of it) has gone properly now, the shops are full of chunky knits, thick tights and boots already. I've been asked to do a post about knitwear so hopefully I can do that at the weekend or mid-next week. But for today, a little outfit post!

I went into town with it being my day off but I bought literally nothing. No clothes caught my eye but I got a necklace and a ring (which I'm wearing in the photos below) and some tights which, will probably look great with this skirt too, hurray!

I used to love New Look but I lost all interest over the last year or 2 but this skirt is wonderful! It's so different and I love the colours. These photos don't do them much justice. My mum said my burgundy tights look stupid with it, but I could not care less! I thought it looked okay, so that is all that matters.
In love with this cardigan too. So scared of catching and plucking it, but it's very lovely and warm. It comes in red too, but red isn't really my colour and this one goes with everything so that will see me through til the end of the year.

I got on the bus and realised I hadn't put a ring on. I've got really into rings now, though all the recent ones I've bought give me a lovely green mark around my finger. I bought this diamanté star one from Primark and it was only £1.50. I've had it on all day and there's no sign of my finger turning green any time soon!
I love H&M necklaces. I wish the key on it actually fit in the lock. That would have made it even cuter. The orange is pretty much the same as the orange on the skirt and it was only £3.99 so I just had to have it really, didn't I?

I know I said a few posts back there might have been a blog sale, and I did empty my wardrobe eventually but I couldn't find any motivation to sort through bots that I could sell on and take photos etc so I just gave a massive bin liner full of clothes to the charity shop. At least it goes to a good cause that way.

LITTLE COLOURED DRESS

It's time for the LBD to step aside because the LCD is taking over this season!

Bold and block coloured dresses are taking over the high street right now. A-lines, floaty hems and structured dresses are everywhere in pretty much every colour you can think of. Colour blocking is carrying on from this Spring right through the rest of the year and I'm sure it will continue into the new year too, so the little coloured dress is pretty much an investment. (That's just there for if you need an excuse to treat yourself!)

I absolutely love the pink lace dress from Topshop (5), but I'm not sure that's a great colour for me unfortunately. But it is very pretty, and there is so many similar dresses to that around at the moment in loads of different colours so I'm sure I'll find one to suit.

The material these dresses are made of are so flattering for any figure type. I absolutely love the tan/black/orange (3) dresses and I keep looking at it but it's a little longer than I'd like it to be.

Totally in love with the first dress, however I don't have £60 to throw at it and it is not the type of dress that would suit, nor flatter me, at all. I am, though, tempted by the last one. It's only £22, too, and it looks so comfy and easily dressed up or down.

Miss Selfridge

I love this colour of purple so much (5), it's gorgeous! And the last dress is completely stunning. Miss Selfridge are so good for party dresses and I find their dresses fit really good and they feel good too.

I've never actually bought anything from ASOS but judging by these dresses, I really ought to. In love with the shade of purple of the last dress. I'm getting the impression that purple is going to be big this party season. I'm seeing lots of dresses and shoes in every shade of purple imaginable in all the shops. That pleases me though, as it's my favourite colour!

I love colour so much. Just because winter is going to be here soon doesn't mean you've got to hide yourself in blacks and greys. Be bold and bright!

Little outfit post for you today. I'm trying to find willpower to sort through my clothes and then get some sort of blog sale together but I am a huge procrastinator so this may not happen. If it does, there will possibly be another blog later on today (I am treating you, aren't I?). I will try very hard to force myself to do it.

So here is my outfit today. I took way too many photos and only liked two and then lost all motivation to take better ones so they'll have to do, I'm afraid!

A bit ago I blogged about a new independent fashion brand, Hero & Cape and last week I bought their anchor design tee. It arrived incredibly quickly and I love it. I've teamed it up with some of my favourite shorts that I showed you in this post. Like I said there, I'm really not a fan of New Look anymore but I do have a little nosey around everytime I'm in town hoping I'll see something to make me change my mind, and I'm so chuffed with these shorts!
I think it looks better being tucked into the shorts and with the sleeves rolled up, in my opinion.

Very much looking forward to seeing future designs from Hero & Cape because I'm very impressed with this one. I recommend you all definitely check them out.

Hello everyone! Sorry it's been a while. I had the best time ever in Edinburgh at the Fringe festival. I didn't want to come home but I am, and back to reality and normality.
The whole idea of the week of outfits post is not happening, because well most of the time I forgot I even had my camera and I was too excited about all the people we saw. But it was fabulous and if you love comedy then I recommend you go to the Fringe one year.

Yesterday at work I was just in a "I need new clothes. I hate everything I own" mood so I've been Internet window shopping again and here's everything that would make me happy right now...

I love knitwear an awful lot and I really want a new chunky, patterned cardigan to see me through the winter. Topshop have some lovely thick-looking cardi's so I may need to take a trip there. The first one, though, is £65 and even though it's so very lovely looking, I don't think I could pay that much for one item.

Those shoes basically need to be in my life ASAP. I keep trying them on and they're really comfortable but I never go anywhere to wear heels to, so it'd be a slight waste of money. Need to find an excuse.

I saw the shorts in a magazine on Mollie from The Saturdays. They'll look a million times better with her legs though but I still love them. The bow on them is so cute!

Been eyeing up that bag for ages but I only got my last bag not so long ago so I don't think I should really spend £50 on another, should I..?

The navy/tan dress is from Miss Selfridge and look how beautiful it is! It's only available online though which is rubbish cos I like trying things on cos I hate returning things and it'll make me sad if I had to return that. It's gorgeous and I just want it please!

House of Holland have re-invented the alphabet tights and I want them badly. I wish I had the original ones but I never did and now they don't even make them anymore. Lame.

And I've wanted a large peace sign necklace for a while and I think to sort of my jewellery collection soon, get rid of some then re-stock up so I think I shall probably be paying Temporary:Secretary a visit in a while, too.

I'm hopefully going to sort out my wardrobe tomorrow as I'm off work and I plan to really try to get rid of some clothes. My sister will get first pick of anything she wants then I'm contemplating doing a blog sale, if anyone would actually be interested? It'd be mainly dresses and tops and possibly some skirts.

Hello lovely readers.

I apologise for how spaced out this blog has become. I shall try and sort that out and post a little more frequently again. I'm lacking inspiration mostly so feel free to inspire!
Just to let you all know that there'll be no blogs being posted for a little over a week as I'm off to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival on Monday and I'm there until Sunday. I'll try to maybe get photos of my outfits everyday and then do a big outfit post or something. Can't guarantee that happening but I shall try my best!

CHRISTOPHER KANE RESORT 2012

The new Christopher Kane collection is simply AMAZING. Christopher is probably one of my favourite designers. I love his use of unique patterns and shapes and the new resort collection is full of colour, pattern and texture. It is wonderful. Christopher has said this collection is based on "prisms and reflective fabrics" and a way of giving something for "the fashion girl, the office girl and the older woman".

There's lots of colour spectrum designs, this one being my favourite dress of the collection. Not convinced I could pull it off but I am in love. All the colour and the shape and fit of the dress looks perfect.

I love the use of mixing all those bright colours with metallic. And fully loving all the pleats in this collection.

I really need to win big on the lottery! The colour spectrum element of this collection reminds me a little of the House of Holland pre-collection because of the rainbow colours and stripes. This has all made me very excited for London Fashion Week in September. Very excited to see all the collections for S/S 2012!

HERO & CAPE

Hero & Cape is a new, up-coming British independent clothing label that is set to launch tomorrow but I've got a little sneak preview of some of the first collection for you right now.

Hero & Cape screen print unique hand drawn illustrations on to t-shirts to make a fashionable statement and their aim is to be a t-shirt brand with a difference by incorporating fashion and hand drawn graphics. The first collection, which you can see in full tomorrow, is a range of white t-shirts with a twist.

Here are a few of my favourite designs...

You probably know by now I am a huge fan of the nautical trend and a sucker for anything with an anchor on it so I absolutely love this! So simple yet so effective.

Again, another really simple design that looks so good. I love how this outfit has been put together. I really like wearing t-shirts with my denim shorts and some patterned tights. Then layer with jewellery and you've got a great edgy look.

Slogan tee's will always be in fashion for getting the whole grunge look!

Hero & Cape are going to be doing men's clothing, too.

And this is quite possibly one of the cutest outfits I've seen in a long time.

The t-shirts are the main collection for Hero & Cape however, their shop will be stocking jewellery and graphic stationery. So, look out for the launch tomorrow by heading over to their website.

When you think of wearing pleated skirts and dresses you may get flashbacks of being 7 years old in primary school or think of your grandma in her long pleated skirts in every colour of the rainbow. But pleats are set to take over once again soon and will be huge for the Autumn/Winter season.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2: PREMIERE OUTFITS

Back in November last year, the premiere for the first part of the final instalment of the Harry Potter franchise occurred, and I was less than impressed with the outfits. (You can read that here)
The premiere for the second part of the film took place last night in London and thankfully the outfits were on a much higher scale! It's too difficult to put them into a top 5 order so I'm just going to list the outfits I liked from the night.

I absolutely hated Emma Watson's outfit for the premiere of Part 1, but she massively pulled it out the bag last night in a beautiful Oscar De La Renta dress.

I'm so pleased she chose a perfect dress and I'm loving her hair here too. It's grown out a little and it works really well. What a beauty! And how much did you start sobbing once Emma started during her speech? The film is going to destroy us all!

Evanna Lynch looks so cute in this dress! Those shoes are incredibly fierce but I think they hardened the outfit a little too much. I think I would have preferred her to have a dark nude shoe instead, but none-the-less she does look fabulous and I completely love her and Luna.

This beautiful gown belongs to Tom Felton's girlfriend, Jade Olivia. Serious dress envy going on right now!

I don't think I could do a post of premiere outfits and Harry Potter and not mention this lady...

Helena Bonham Carter! I actually really love the dress and the colour is lovely. I could have done without the head piece, but this is Helena and so it has to be a bit different and crazy and she always pulls it off and looks fabulous.

However, one person I was really disappointed with was JK Rowling herself.

Like Emma, she wore Oscar De La Renta however, unlike Emma she looks like she has stepped into a duvet cover and cut it into a dress.

Oh Jo! And you got it so right at the premiere of Part 1.

BARGAIN DRESS

I've got an outfit post for you today featuring my most recent bargain hunted item that I'm completely in love with!

I saw this dress in the Dorothy Perkins sale but there was only this one in stock and it was 2 sizes too big for me (according to the label) but I kept going to look at it and so I decided to try it on and I was determined to make it fit. It ties round the back which helps but it doesn't even look or feel too big for me so I was definitely having that! Best part... it was £7! Original selling price was £36! That'll do me then! So happy with that buy.

And I had a little pose in the Topshop changing rooms. It's such a beautiful dress. Perfect colours and style for me and I love the bottom half being pleated. I wore my Henry Holland moccasins with it today. I was going to wear my wedges but I was all hot and bothered to risk not being in flats :')

This cute belt is also from Dorothy Perkins for £6 and it literally goes with everything I wear, so I will definitely get my money's worth from that.

And I already have the earrings to match this necklace, but I didn't know there was a necklace too. Again, Dorothy Perkins sale but I can't remember how much it was. I'd guess around £3/4.

Have you snapped up any great bargains in the mid season summer sales yet?

I'm impressed with the Topshop sale and the River Island seems to have a lot of decent stock in it, however it isn't really accessible or easy to shop. I like sale to be in size order and then in categories so I know what I'm looking at and for!

NEVERLAND TREASURES

Sorry I've been a little MIA recently. Been a little stressed with work and things but I have this week to go and then a whole week off so hopefully a few more blogs will be posted soon.

Today's blog is to tell you about a new, cute online store that has launched in this last week called Neverland Treasures. Rachel, who runs the store, is one of my very lovely friends and she has answered a few questions for me to tell you all about the shop.

What is Neverland Treasures all about?/why have you decided to start the shop?

I've finished my art and textiles courses at 6th form, and looked at all the things I've collected and the skills I've learnt, and thought I'd try to make something of them. It's about cute and quirky things made with love!

Why the name 'Neverland Treasures'?

I'm just a big Disney geek at heart, and feel like a Tinker fairy when I'm making things :')

Are you looking at expanding the business beyond necklaces/jewellery?

I am, I've been designing phone cases and pillows with little designs on, such bird and owl pillows.

What's your favourite current piece that you have for sale?

Probably the Alice in Wonderland necklace, it's really lovely, but I want the pillows, coming soon, all to myself!

How did you get into to making your own jewellery?/what do you like about it?

From my textiles course mostly, I love the final result and finding adorable charms.

TRAFFORD CENTRE FUN TIMES

I've been wanting to go to the Trafford Centre for such a long time. Considering I live half an hour away from it, it doesn't quite seem right that I've actually never properly been before. Well, I've been once before but I was about 10 and obviously I couldn't really be doing proper shopping then! So I spent a good 4 or so hours in there this afternoon and bought a few lovely things to show you. I'm quite impressed with how little I actually spent but there was SO much more I wanted to buy but I need to try and be a little sensible.

First stop was the Disney Store. On one hand I wish there was a Disney Store in my city however it's probably good that there isn't one. I'd be broke and it means I appreciate more. We spent SO long in there. We seriously debated over buying a Flynn Rider doll but we restrained ourselves and settled on new mugs!

Going to have the greatest hot chocolate ever tonight!

In the last post I did on festival fashion there was a couple of images of printed and patterned shorts. Well, I've not been a fan of New Look for well over a year now. It's gone majorly down hill in my opinion. However, I spotted these shorts hidden away and I love them!

They were only £20! Shame I'm not actually going to a festival but hopefully we'll get a lovely summer so I can wear them!

I've recently discovered how brilliant H&M necklaces are. I always wear necklaces and I love long ones and H&M seem to do the perfect length and they're such good prices. Last week I bought 2 different ones and today I bought this...

It comes in emerald green too. Also, it was very hard to take a decent photo, sorry!

And then I bought another necklace from Topshop...

Should have been £12.50 but it was on the 50% off sale! Want to know the best part...

After failing miserably to find a decent Take That poster for the big gap on my bedroom wall, I ended up buying the new The Feeling album from HMV. And also ended up tempted into the double edition of it.

I've not listened to it yet but I'm excited to here it. These boys are one of my happy bands.

Also, HMV have Angry Birds soft toys. Had to restrain myself so badly. Angry Birds should could with an addiction warning before you download it...

FESTIVAL FASHION

Festival season is amongst us, with the Glastonbury festival taking place next weekend and the likes of Latitude, V, Leeds and Reading and Bestival to follow throughout the summer.
I'm going to put together some festival friendly clothes/outfits for you today. I went to Leeds festival two years ago and wish I could be going to another music festival again this year. I am going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August but that doesn't involve any camping (thank goodness!)

After doing this, I now REALLY want to be going to a music festival. The festival survival kit from Topshop is only £5 and you get an emergency poncho, suncream, mints, energy slab and wipes so if you're off to a festival then I'd say that's a great investment for you.
A couple of tips from me... Don't even bother lugging bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you. Not even the travel sized ones. You won't use them. There may be showers available but having seen them I'd rather go without. It's part of the experience anyway. Just have a pack of baby wipes and a can of dry shampoo and you're set! Do take suncream and have a bottle of water with you at all times. And make sure you get yourself a great pair of wellies. Don't take any proper shoes with you, or anything you don't want to get dirty and possibly ruined.

HOUSE OF HOLLAND'S S/S12 PRE-COLLECTION

This week House of Holland released images of their collection for next Spring/Summer and I love it! As you are fully aware by now, I am a massive fan of Henry Holland and HOH and I always look forward to seeing his new designs. This is the first pre-collection of HOH's and I cannot wait for London Fashion Week to see the whole thing.

Stripes are probably my all time favourite trend and Henry has featured them in this collection massively in all sorts of crazy bright colours. As well as fluorescent colours, bones and skulls and flower motifs have been used on navy backgrounds for an ultimate contrast against the stripes and all the colour. Also, love the opposition with the skulls and flower prints.

I'm really looking forward to London Fashion Week now; to see the rest of this collection and see what everyone else has to offer. It looks like next Spring/Summer is going to be full of colour and exciting prints which, is perfect for me!

Got a little outfit post for you today!

Dress £25, Belt £5, Necklace £4 all Dorothy Perkins.
(Bottom picture, fail. Didn't realise the belt had slipped down a little)

I saw this dress online a few weeks ago and was hoping it would be in store soon after, and it was! Hurray! I absolutely love it. I love stripes and the colours of this are really good matches. Such a lovely dress for summer. I really like the design of the back too, and I'm not usually a fan of cut-out back details but the bow is a bit too cute not to like on this. I put my coral belt with it, that I wear with pretty much everything.

Hopefully the weather will warm up a lot and then I brave getting the legs out and not hide behind tights.

Completely in love with these shoes. Raffia heels are a big trend for this season. The shoes are in black too but they look a lot better in the tan colour, in my opinion. They're so comfy too!

Just a short post today for you. Hope everyone is well and everyone that has exams and such are coping okay. Advice time; don't get stressed at all with exams. They're so not worth getting worked up over them. You'll do better than you think and once you've done it just relax and enjoy yourself and your summer! :)

And I just like to go on about this everywhere so if you don't already know, last week I got last minute tickets to see Take That's Progress tour on the opening night in Manchester. It was the greatest thing I've ever seen. If you're going then you're in for a huge treat!

GLAMOUR AWARDS 2011: BEST DRESSED

The Glamour Women of the Year awards took place last night. The annual event celebrates women in the music, television, film, broadcasting, designing, theatre, comedy and sport.
Amongst the winners was Sarah Burton who won Designer of the Year. Sarah designs for Alexander McQueen and more recently and forever famous for the stunning wedding dress of Kate Middleton for the Royal Wedding.

So, the best dressed of the night...

Daisy Lowe chose to wear Versace. Tribal prints are huge at the moment and there's a lot of influence of that in this piece from the Spring/Summer collection.

The stunning Katherine Jenkins wore this pink gown designed by Victoria Beckham, who won the award for Accessory Designer of the Year that evening.

My absolute favourite, Jameela Jamil can do no wrong. She wore this lovely dress by Ada Zanditon and teamed if with her heart shape box bag from Urban Outfitters.

Love love love Fearne Cotton's hair like this! And she's wearing a dress by Miu Miu which automatically puts you in the best dressed category for me. AND those shoes are fierce! Fearne also won the award for Radio Personality of the Year. She definitely had a good night then!

Best dressed of the night, though, was definitely...

...Jessie J! I could hardly recognise her when I first saw the photos. She looks completely stunning. Really love this make-over and the Dolce & Gabbana gown is fabulous! Jessie got this totally right and she definitely deserved the Woman of Tomorrow award. What a bobby dazzler!

After doing my small post on Diana Vickers new clothing range, very.co.uk got in contact with me to tell me about their new Summer Style Bible that they are launching which is an ultimate guide to getting this seasons biggest trends just right. The "Bible" is split into 4 different trends:

Ibiza Rocks - Tribal and animal prints are a great holiday look for this year
Glasto Girl - Festival season is just around the corner and this collection has all the essentials
Dallas Nights - 80's style and lots of embellishment for a perfect night out
Pop Of Neon - Colour blocking is a massive trend and the brighter the better

Very were very lovely in sending me an item from the Pop Of Neon collection to review for them so I chose the Fit and Flare lace dress. The Pop of Neon collection is all about bright colours; turquoise, pink, purple and lemon and just keeping it simple to get the right effect. so, ditch the prints for this one!

I put my coral belt with the dress to add in an extra splash of colour. It fits really beautifully and is perfect for a summer night out or a special occasion. I really wish I had a wedding to go to because when I had it on it feels like that is were I should be going!

Not the world's greatest photo but I teamed it with my simple black wedges but if I had some coloured shoes then I'd probably wear those with it. I'm really really into this colour blocking trend right now and the colour of this dress is just gorgeous.

PRETTY SHOES

Sorry for not blogging all week. I've been lacking inspiration so please feel free to suggest what you'd like to see some posts on. Leave a comment or get in contact with me some way.

I had a little visit to Matalan this afternoon with my mum and there are some beautiful shoes about at the moment. If you know me then you'll know how obsessed with shoes I am. I just cannot help myself and it's really difficult to stop myself just impulse buying them all. In my ideal bedroom I would have glass shelves all around near the top of the walls and just have lots of shoes on display for me to just look at. I might want to consider winning the lottery for that to happen though. (Note to self: start playing the lottery.)

So I've had a little Internet window shop and I just want to share with you some of my favourite shoes on the high street at the moment.

After creating this collage I have convinced myself that I definitely need some floral shoes. I tried on both of those from Matalan today and they're extremely comfortable but I couldn't walk in the heels, bad times. The clogs look a lot better in real life than the photo shows too.
I also feel I need bright shoes too. Now, I just need to find places to actual go where I can wear pretty shoes to...

TV BAFTA AWARDS 2011: BEST DRESSED

Back in February the film awards side of the BAFTAs was held but last night it was the turn of the TV awards and there was some lovely outfits on the red carpet. I've picked 5 of my favourites as usual so here we go!

Vicky McClure won the award for Best Actress and she looked stunning in this red Alberta Ferretti gown.

The One Show host, Alex Jones, wore Versace and I really love the panelling design of this dress.

Sheridan Smith wore this beautiful Ermanno Scervino gown, showing off her fabulous figure.

Soapstars don't have a good reputation for dressing decently at awards shows but Coronation Street actress Katherine Kelly is brilliant and always gets it right and looks amazing.

How incredible does Catherine Tate look?! Not a traditional style outfit for the BAFTAs but the colours really suit her and I love the 50's style of the dress.

One of my favourite "fashion girls" is Daisy Lowe. I do actually quite like the Craig Lawrence dress she wore but it has received mixed reviews.

I think if it was shorter, like to wear the skirt underneath is or maybe a little longer than that, then it would be gorgeous. I mean, Daisy has killer legs so she should be showing them off! But she can pull this look, and everything she does wear, off so she'll always look great in my eyes.

You may remember a month or so ago I blogged about the biggest trend of this season, colour blocking. It has taken over the high street right now too as you can tell by every shop window. I'm a massive fan of it. It's just brings in a lot of "fun" for the season and there's some great looks and outfits out there. It's so easy to just play around with because there's not really many limits in that it doesn't matter if they are clashing colours as it adds to the effect.

Little change of scenery on those too... I decided to be adventurous and stand on my bed rather than next to it.

I got these shorts in Liverpool yesterday and I love them! They're really comfy and a good fit. Dorothy Perkins have quite a number of concession ranges in their stores and this is from the one called Closet, which is probably my favourite. I was going to change the belt for my coral one to add even more colour but I was in a rush this morning!

I couldn't for the life of me get a decent photo of my ring but it's 3 little peace signs. The nail varnish is Barry M in 303 bright purple which, looks a much better colour in real life.
My necklace I got from the men's section in River Island. I'm usually more of a gold jewellery person and I rarely wear silver but I tried this on for the fun of it and actually really liked it. I swear guys get better stuff than us girls a lot of the time!

DIANA VICKERS RELEASES FASHION RANGE

She was founded on X Factor a few years back and although she didn't win she had a lot of success with her debut album but now, Diana Vickers is the latest celebrity to design her own clothing range.

The "Dee V" range has been launched through very.co.uk which has also had ranges from the likes of Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby. Diana's range features key trends for the Spring/Summer season including block colours and 60's style hemlines. The first Dee V collection features 8 products which Diana says she got inspiration from icons such as Bridget Bardot and Kate Moss and also Carey Mulligan from her film An Education, which is where the 60's element of A-line shapes and hemlines came from.

My favourite piece is this sequin mini dress which Diana has said is based on a vintage dress she has. The dress is the dearest of the collection at £99, though the price range starts from £18.
I also really like the dog print playsuit that is part of the collection. Teamed with tan accessories it would look amazing!

NEW FACE OF MIU MIU; HAILEE STEINFELD

Hailee Steinfeld, the 14 year old actress and firm Laddered Tights fashionista favourite, has today been announced as the new face of Miu Miu. That's right... FOURTEEN YEARS OLD. It's a good thing I absolutely love her and she gets it right every time she's on the red carpet or I think I'd be really hating on her right now. When I was 14 my life didn't really involve designer clothes and modelling for one of the biggest names in fashion. It more involved breaking my braces quite often through eating cereal (true story, I lead such a glamorous life.)

In the awards season just gone Hailee has worn the likes of Marchesa, Stella McCartney, Prada and of course, Miu Miu. Slightly different from my wardrobe of that age which consisted of New Look and Primark... oh wait, that hasn't actually changed for me. Hailee will the the youngest model to have fronted Miu Miu's campaigns and her first will be out in August for the Autumn/Winter collection.

I've successfully made myself incredibly jealous by looking through a lot of red carpet photos but I am actually really thrilled for Hailee. I'm really looking forward to seeing her first shots for the brand and I think she's going to do a fabulous job of it!

I saw their Twitter account post that they were new in and loved them and then a few days later I went on the website and they were having a flash sale on limited edition stock - the category the shorts fell under so I HAD to get them really!

Clearly loving Dorothy Perkins right now. Their jersey vest tops are so good. They're available in so many colours so I definitely recommend those if you're looking for some holiday tops.
The other day I posted about fruity fashion, well the earrings are new in at DP this week and they're the same as the ones I've seen in Topshop but a few quid cheaper!

I actually got the necklace when it was £9 but it's now in the sale at half price... which happened a few days after I bought it. Hate when that happens! But I wear this necklace all the time so I guess it's not too bad.

And the shorts... completely in love. They may be my most favourite purchase since last year's sheep cardigan. I'm thinking maybe I like animal printed clothes...

Wow, 3 blogs in 3 days... I'm spoiling you guys!

On Monday I did an outfit post featuring my River Island fruity playsuit and whilst I've been out shopping recently and browsing the online stores I've noticed that fruit seems to be a running theme across the high street at the moment. I think it's a great, quirky trend for summer as it brings in lots of colour and it makes colour blocking a whole lot easier too.
With influence coming from Paris Fashion Week S/S11 collections including the likes of Stella McCartney and Moschino who, all went for the citrus fruit designs for their collections, and this is what has been replicated for the high street at the moment.

The MET Gala 2011: Best Dressed

All the Hollywood stars and the fashionistas headed out to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday for the Costume Institute Gala to celebrate the work of the late and great Alexander McQueen and the opening of the McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition.

There were so many amazing and interesting outfits amongst the attendees, as well as some truly hideous one (I am looking at you Beyoncé, Rihanna and J-Lo), so here are my five favourites which aren't really in any order because I found it too difficult!

Actress Salma Hayek wore an Alexander McQueen design which I really love. It's quite dainty and the neutral shade works well with her complexion.

Emma Roberts wore this cut-out Michael Kors gown. Really love the Grecian feel to this look and has a great body for the cut-out design.

I absolutely love Nicole Richie and she looks amazing in this Jason Wu dress. Love the sleeve detail on her. I think this dress could easily look hideous if the wrong person wore it but Nicole looks fab!

If you wear Miu Miu (or buy it me preferably) I will automatically love you. Congratulations then go to Michelle Williams. She always looks so sophisticated and lovely. I think this would have been my overall favourite if it hadn't been for this next one...

My favourite from awards season has shone again in this beautiful Stella McCartney dress. And look at those Nicholas Kirkwood shoes! Completely jealous that a 14 year old has a wardrobe full of designer clothes and shoes and I'm sat here writing about it...
Though, really looking forward to seeing Hailee's fashion taste develop over the next few years. I think she's going to be one to watch for definite!

Other lovely dresses came from Isla Fisher, Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz. Really disappointed with the Olsen twins. They're so beautiful and can dress so well but they both looked appalling at the MET Gala and their outfits and make up made them look really old. Sort it out, girls! You can do better than that!

Hope everyone has enjoyed their extended weekend! Sorry the blog posts have become a little scattered. Bit of good news... I finally passed my driving test last week! Now just to get a car...
Did you all watch the Royal Wedding? I was obsessed with it! Kate looked absolutely stunning and despite a hell of a lot of criticism, I really liked Princess Beatrice and Eugiene's outfits.

Got a Bank Holiday Monday outfit post for you today. Although it looks very sunny outside, it's actually very cold which I found out when I went out earlier dressed like this...

I found a new setting on my camera called "pop art" which makes all the colours a lot brighter.

I visited my friend Katie in St Helens yesterday and we had a nosey around the shops and I spotted this cute playsuit in River Island. I have been wanting a new one for this summer and I love this one. It's quite a thin, jersey material and the design is really different. I've noticed a few things on the highstreet now using fruit design. (Maybe I'll do a separate post on this..?!)
I put my coral belt around as well to add even more colour and my nails match the belt! Superdrug have a 2 for £4.99 offer on Barry M nail varnish at the moment so I got coral and shocking pink. Barry M nail varnish is the best I've ever used and they have literally ever colour you could think of!

I'm usually a hair straightening addict but recently I've been drying my hair and just leaving it, a few times a week. I was in Superdrug the other week and they had an offer on Tresemmé which, is what I use on my hair and I decided to try out the "smooth memory frizz control spray". It says that if you spray it on wet hair it will overtime train your hair to go straighter. I have actually noticed a difference when I have used it, thought the photo up there isn't really a great one in demonstrating the lack of frizz.

My laptop is very annoyingly broke at this present moment so I'm having to use other people's computers and laptops to try and blog but, I don't like things that aren't familiar to me. The keyboard on this one is also bigger than my own so there may be some silly spelling mistakes in this which, I shall try to double check over before I post. I'm not sure when my laptop will be back in action (hopefully this week) but posts may be a bit scattered until it's sorted, I just really wanted to do an outfit post today!

Sorry for that little essay and if you follow me on Twitter then you'll be aware of just how annoying I am finding this and I apologise for said moaning. Anyway, on to my outfit today!

Just like to point out that with how hot it is today, I have not actually been wearing this cardigan but I just wanted to show it to you all as it's the most recent thing I've bought and I love it! I'll probably wear it when I go out tonight though for when it's a bit chilly.

I was in Birmingham at the weekend and I absolutely love Urban Outfitters, however Preston doesn't have one (which is probably best for my bank account to be honest), so I went in for a nosey. The shop is just merchandised so beautifully and everything looks so pretty. There was quite a few rails of sale which I had a nosey through and the cardigan was originally £68 and I got it for £30... can't argue with that!

I said in this post that Debenhams online had a selection of House of Holland tights for less than £4. Well, my little delivery came just a few days after I ordered them so I thought I'd give the New York Statue of Liberty tights an airing today. I love them!

I saw the bag in Primark a while ago and stupidly convinced myself I didn't actually need it (how sensible of me) and then a week later I regretted that decision and went back to buy it... it had sold out. I was quite upset until I went in last week and it was back in stock! I really like satchel bags and this one is a bit more unique with the colours of it. Though, I can't fit as much in it as my other bags.

I've wanted the Keep Calm and Carry On necklace for so long and with it being on offer last week as part of Temp:Sec's birthday month (head over to their blog to find out more on that!) I couldn't not get it.

The colour of the shoes is quite had to describe and the photo doesn't do it much justice but they're one of my favourite pair of shoes ever and they're actually really comfortable too. They've got brogue detailing on them too and they're casual enough to wear them during the day without looking over the top.
